OGRA spokesperson Imran Ghaznavi has said that there is currently no shortage of petrol or diesel in the country and both fuels are available in sufficient quantities.
In a telephone conversation, he explained that rumors of a possible price increase had led some people to purchase fuel in excess earlier, but those rumors have now subsided and the panic in the market has ended.
The OGRA spokesperson added that petrol pumps across the country are being closely monitored, while oil marketing companies are also under strict observation to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply.
He urged the public to report immediately if they observe any shortage of petrol or diesel, hoarding, or overcharging at petrol pumps so that authorities can take prompt action.
