Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the Arab League, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, has announced that an emergency ministerial level meeting of the Arab League will be held to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East, including alleged Iranian actions.
In a statement issued from Riyadh, the Saudi envoy said the meeting will take place online and will focus on the current escalating situation in the region. He claimed that recent Iranian actions have targeted the sovereignty and security of Arab countries.
According to Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, Iran’s actions represent a clear violation of international law and the attacks on Arab countries are considered dangerous and unacceptable provocations.
He added that the agenda of the meeting will include reviewing the threats faced by Arab countries and discussing the alleged Iranian violations. The objective of the meeting is to formulate a united Arab position in response to the recent developments.
The Saudi envoy further stated that such actions are contrary to the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, emphasizing the need for coordinated action among Arab states.
