Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Supreme Court should review its decision and a Full Court should be formed. We will accept the decision of the Full Court. No political party can escape elections. Respect for the judiciary is essential for all, but the law should be equal for everyone. We have to keep personal interests aside to secure the future of Pakistan and future generations.
He expressed these views on Thursday while addressing the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Lawyers Complex in Islamabad. The ceremony was attended by Federal Law Minister and Attorney General Nazeer Tarar, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and representatives and members of the Pakistan Bar Council, Islamabad Bar Council, and other lawyers’ organizations.
The Prime Minister said that lawyers have faced extreme difficulties in seeking justice. They have made sacrifices for the supremacy of the law and the restoration of the judiciary. Respect for the judiciary is essential for all, but the law should be equal for everyone. No political party can escape elections. He said that the Article 63-A law was reviewed, and we have appealed, but there is no update on it. No faction was created among political parties. The Supreme Court should review its decision, and the judges who were removed from this case should be reinstated, and a Full Court should be formed. We will accept the decision of the Full Court.
