The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected circulating claims regarding the residency status of Iranian citizens in the country, stating that such reports are incorrect.
According to foreign media reports, an Emirati airline had earlier stated that Iranian citizens would not be allowed entry or transit through the UAE, leading to speculation.
Another Emirati airline had suggested that Iranian nationals holding golden visas would be exempt from the restriction, though the situation remained unclear.
The UAE Foreign Ministry has now clarified that claims about the residency status of Iranians are baseless, adding that the Iranian community is considered an integral part of the country’s diverse social fabric.
The ministry further stated that equal opportunities are provided to people of all nationalities, and no discriminatory measures are being taken against any specific community.
