At the start of the new business week, the Pakistan Stock Exchange is witnessing a negative trend, whereas Asian stock markets are generally showing a positive momentum with increased investor activity.
At the opening of trading, the KSE-100 Index recorded a decline of 0.7 percent, falling by 1,199 points to trade at 169,472, reflecting pressure in the market.
On the other hand, Asian stock exchanges are trading in positive territory, with notable gains across multiple markets.
Japan’s Nikkei Index has increased by 1.6 percent, while South Korea’s KOSPI Index is up by 2.3 percent. Similarly, Thailand’s SET Index has gained 1 percent, while the Shanghai Stock Exchange has risen by 0.15 percent and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index has recorded an increase of 0.25 percent.
