The Pakistan Army successfully thwarted an infiltration and provocation attempt by Fitna al-Khawarij in South Waziristan through timely action, while security forces carried out a strong retaliatory response after Afghan Taliban targeted the civilian population, destroying multiple Afghan check posts.
According to security sources, the Pakistan Army effectively neutralized infiltration attempts by Fitna al-Khawarij in the Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan and further tightened security measures in the region.
Sources stated that following their failure to infiltrate, Afghan Taliban targeted the civilian population in the Zalol Khel area of Angoor Adda, where firing injured three civilians, including two women, who were immediately shifted to Wana Hospital for medical treatment.
Security sources added that Afghan Taliban, in frustration after their setback, are targeting innocent civilians, prompting a strong response from the Pakistan Army, which destroyed several Afghan check posts.
