Saudi Arabia has expressed deep concern over the current regional situation, urging all parties to exercise restraint while announcing its support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts.
In a statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ongoing military tensions in the region were described as alarming, with a call for immediate de-escalation and avoidance of further provocation.
The statement emphasized the need for patience and responsibility under the current circumstances, urging all sides to refrain from actions that could worsen the situation.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry also backed Pakistan’s diplomatic and mediation efforts, stressing the importance of finding a comprehensive political solution to prevent further instability and tension in the region.
It further noted that rising tensions not only threaten regional peace and stability but could also have broader global implications.
Saudi Arabia also highlighted the importance of restoring maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, stressing the need to keep this vital global trade route secure and operational.
Earlier, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, strongly condemning the unjustified attacks targeting the UAE.
The Crown Prince reaffirmed full support for the UAE’s security and stability, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace in the region.
