Former federal minister Asad Umar stated that national decisions should be made in Pakistan, whether in favor of or against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Speaking to the media outside Lahore’s anti-terrorism court, Asad Umar acknowledged the undeniable reality that decisions made in the United States impact Pakistan.
He emphasized that PTI founder Imran Khan has made it clear that he is not looking towards the United States for guidance because Pakistan is responsible for decision-making, and Pakistan’s decisions should be made domestically.
“Whether these decisions favor or oppose PTI or anyone else, they should be made within the country, not abroad,” he said.
When asked if he would return to politics if Imran Khan requested it, Asad Umar responded that he did not intend to rejoin politics. However, he added, “As I always say to people, tell me how I can serve, and I will do it.”
Earlier, during a hearing at Lahore’s anti-terrorism court regarding Asad Umar’s bail petitions in three cases, the court adjourned proceedings until February 12 after requesting case records.
