Indian actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, during the promotion of her new film Chhorii 2, spoke about visiting temples and the criticism she receives for her clothing. She stated that her faith is real to her, unlike many other unreal things in life, and that’s what strengthens her belief.
Nushrratt shared that she remains connected to her religion and is clear about the path she wants to follow. She added that wherever one finds peace—be it a temple, gurdwara, or church—they should go there. Publicly, she expressed that she offers prayers and, when time allows, performs all five daily prayers. She even carries her prayer mat while traveling.
She further said that no matter where she goes, she finds the same peace, as she has always believed that God is one, but there are different ways to reach Him, and she wants to explore all those paths.
She mentioned that criticism is not limited to visiting different places of worship, but also extends to her attire.
The actress revealed that whenever she shares pictures on social media, critics often question her faith based on her clothing, asking, “Look at what she’s wearing, what kind of Muslim is she?” She asserted that such criticism cannot change her or stop her from visiting temples or offering prayers, as both are part of her faith.
Nushrratt concluded by saying that when a person’s thoughts, soul, and mind are pure, no one in the world can harm them.
