Faruqui recently spoke about his early years, his parents’ marital status, and how his mother buried herself as a result of his father’s mistreatment of her. He added that he was only 13 at the time.
According to the comedian, his mother ingested poison as a result of his father’s severe cruelty and hurt throughout their life. His father had a stroke two years after this incident and spent the next eleven years in bed.
“I also thought of my father as a villain when I was younger. Every time I saw him, I used to get upset, but I eventually learned to forgive and be strong in the situation, he said.
Faruqui questioned how he could hate his father, stating that even though he was a “villain,” it was his father. “He was in pain, had no one but me, and received what he deserved.”
According to the comedian, this experience taught him the value of forgiveness. Faruqui claimed that at that point, he discovered how to let go of the burden of suffering and negativity. “No one was ever able to harm me in the same manner after that.”
