Renowned Pakistani television actor Uzair Abbasi passed away three days ago, leaving his fans and colleagues in deep sorrow.
Uzair Abbasi came from a highly creative family. His elder brother, Zubair Abbasi, was a well-known television producer and director, while his nephew, Shamoon Abbasi, is a prominent filmmaker, writer, and actor in the Pakistani entertainment industry.
Throughout his acting career, Uzair Abbasi delivered several memorable performances. His portrayal of Rashid Baba in Geo TV’s hit drama serial “Intiqam” earned him widespread acclaim and recognition for his emotional and powerful performance. His refined Urdu diction and expressive acting earned him a respected place in Pakistan’s television industry.
During his long career, Uzair Abbasi appeared in many successful dramas, including “Karachi Division” (2021), “Bashu” (2023), “Heer Ranjha” (2012), and “Khilona.” His passion, versatility, and ability to bring depth to every character made him stand out among his peers.
Shamoon Abbasi, who shared a close bond with his late uncle, expressed his profound grief in a heartfelt Facebook post. He described Uzair Abbasi as not only a mentor and guide but also a dear friend, adding that his loss is deeply personal.
