The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a slight increase in temperature over the next three days in Karachi, with hot and dry weather likely to persist across the city.
According to the PMD, the depression over the Arabian Sea has moved northeastward during the past 24 hours and is currently located about 712 kilometers from Karachi and 330 kilometers from India’s Gujarat coast. The system poses no threat to any coastal areas of Pakistan.
The department added that the system is expected to weaken further within the next 24 hours, leading to reduced wind intensity along Sindh’s coastal belt, including Karachi. Winds from the northeast are likely to blow at speeds between 10 and 15 kilometers per hour.
The Met Office stated that the temperature in Karachi is expected to rise slightly in the coming days, while the overall weather will remain dry and relatively warm.
