Moscow: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described his visit to Islamabad as highly productive, stating that positive and constructive consultations were held with Pakistani officials, contributing to progress on key diplomatic matters.
Speaking to Iranian media upon arrival in Moscow, he said that he is visiting Russia to continue close consultations on regional and global issues, and is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin later today.
Araghchi stated that the meeting with President Putin will provide an important opportunity to review developments related to the ongoing conflict and the current situation, expressing confidence that coordination and consultations between the two countries hold significant importance.
He further said that during his Islamabad visit, detailed discussions were held with Pakistani officials regarding past developments and the specific conditions under which Iran-US negotiations could proceed.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also noted that discussions were held during his visit to Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that both Iran and Oman are coastal states of this key maritime route, where safe navigation has become a major global concern.
He added that as coastal nations, continued dialogue is essential to safeguard mutual interests, and both countries must maintain coordination in all possible measures to ensure shared benefits.
He said that there is a high level of understanding between Iran and Oman, and both sides have agreed to continue consultations at the expert level as well.
