Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir held a detailed meeting with the Commander of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on the occasion of his visit to China in which mutual security issues and military cooperation were discussed.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief was warmly welcomed on the first day of his official visit to China and was presented with a guard of honor at the headquarters of the PLA.
After conducting a thorough assessment of the security situation, the COAS held a detailed meeting with the Commander of the PLA Army, where they discussed matters related to mutual security and military cooperation.
Both military commanders emphasized the need to maintain peace and stability in the region and to enhance military cooperation between the two countries.
The Army Chief also appreciated the operational capabilities of the People’s Liberation Army and praised their high standards of training and professional skills.
