Senior leader and lawyer of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Sardar Latif Khosa, has said that the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan is illegal.
In a statement regarding the arrest of the Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said that there is no weight in the cases against Imran Khan, nothing at all. All stakeholders, including the military leadership, should show wisdom.
Former Governor of Punjab said that the reason for the contempt of court was because Imran Khan had gone for a bio-metric test. The court’s doors were broken down and properties were damaged.
Latif Khosa said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had asked for forgiveness in the Supreme Court that they would not arrest anyone under judicial custody. The NAB’s written forgiveness is present in the Supreme Court.
Regarding the Al-Qadir Trust case, Khosa said that the trust is only for agricultural work. The arrest of Imran Khan has triggered a public reaction in the country.
