Islamabad: The Supreme Court has scheduled hearings for the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill 2023 and the Auditors’ Commission case on Thursday. The five-member larger bench of the Audio Leaks Commission case will hear the case on June 1.
On May 8, the Supreme Court had adjourned the bill case for three weeks, which will now be heard by an eight-member larger bench under the leadership of the Chief Justice of Pakistan on June 1. The Supreme Court has issued notices to the parties involved.
The eight-member larger bench formed by the Supreme Court includes Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial, Justice Ejazul Ahsan, Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Ayesha Malik, Justice Azhar Hasan Rizvi and Justice Shahid Waheed.
In addition, the Supreme Court has scheduled hearings for the Audio Leaks Commission case. A five-member larger bench, under the leadership of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, will hear the case on May 31.
The Supreme Court had suspended the notification of the Audio Leaks Commission in the previous hearing. The bench headed by the Chief Justice includes Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Shahid Waheed are also part of the bench.
