A fire broke out on the ninth floor of a building near Metro Pole on Sharah-e-Faisal in Karachi.
According to police officials, the fire filled the building with smoke, causing 5 people to become unconscious, 2 of whom have been transferred to Jinnah Hospital.
The rescue operation has been halted due to the intense smoke in the building.
The police have stated that there may be more people present in the building.
Traffic police have announced that the road from Jinnah Hospital Turn to Metro Pole is closed to traffic, and vehicles are being redirected via alternative routes, from FTC to Kala Pul.
