Spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, says that they strongly condemn the terrorist attack on Chinese engineers near Karachi Airport.
In a statement, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the Chinese nationals were killed and injured in the attack and expressed their deepest condolences and sympathies to the affected families, including Chinese citizens and Pakistanis.
The spokesperson says that they are praying for the speedy recovery of the injured, this sad act is an attack not only on Pakistan but also on the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and China.
He said that those involved in the cowardly attack, including the Majeed Brigade, were determined to be brought to justice, adding that this brutal act would not go unpunished.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch says that Pakistan’s security and law enforcement agencies will leave no stone unturned to catch the accused and their facilitators.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close contact with the Chinese Embassy, Pakistan and China are close partners and iron brothers, Pakistan and China are bound by mutual respect and brotherhood.
He also said that Pakistan reaffirms its strong commitment to protect Chinese citizens, projects, and institutions, and Pakistan will continue to work with its Chinese brothers against terrorism.
It should be noted that 3 people including foreigners were killed and 17 people were injured in a loud explosion near the Karachi Airport signal last night.
Investigative sources have claimed that a car full of explosives was hit by a suicide bomber with a convoy of foreigners outside the airport in Karachi last night.
Sources say that a small car was used in the attack, and the suicide bomber was waiting for the convoy to leave.
