Pakistani wrestler, kickboxer, and martial arts expert Sameer Ali has brought pride to the nation by winning a silver medal at the Asian Games 2025 held in Nepal.
Popularly known as Green Cheetah, Sameer secured second place in the competition. This marks his third international medal, as he previously won accolades in Azerbaijan and the South Asian Championship.
In an exclusive interview, Sameer Ali revealed that he competed against athletes from 12 to 13 countries, including India, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, and secured second position.
Talking about his inspiration, he said, my grandfather was a boxer, and watching him inspired me to become one.
However, he expressed disappointment over the lack of government support, stating, if the government supported us, we could progress even further.
