The Modi government has completely barred Pakistani analysts and journalists from appearing on Indian TV channels. India, already under global criticism, took this step at a time when official restrictions had already been imposed on Pakistani YouTube channels.
The international media network “KRT-E” revealed that the Indian Prime Minister’s Office has issued directives to media houses, instructing them not to invite Pakistani analysts, journalists, or even experts holding anti-government views to their shows. In contrast, Indian media has been directed to invite only Pakistani opposition leaders to present a specific narrative.
The reality came to light when Pakistani analyst Ahmed Hassan Arabi participated in Indian anchor Arnab Goswami’s show and boldly criticized India’s internal political and military policies. The harsh facts presented during the show proved intolerable for the Indian establishment and media, leading the Modi government to decide that hiding Pakistani truths from its people would now be a part of state policy.
According to sources, the Indian media is now being placed under complete government supervision in an effort to curb foreign criticism. However, the international media is closely monitoring this new censorship policy.
Global observers have stated that India’s actions are not only against freedom of the press but also deliver another blow to its democratic claims. India has repeatedly tried to suppress the truth under the guise of blaming Pakistan, but when Pakistani analysts directly presented facts to the Indian public, the Modi administration ordered the media into silence.
This entire situation reflects the hollow democratic system of India, which is so fearful of the truth that it resorts to keeping its people in the dark.
