A woman riding a motorcycle was killed after being hit by a water tanker on Karachi’s Korangi Road near Malir River. Enraged citizens set the water tanker on fire.
According to police, the water tanker collided with a man and a woman on a motorcycle. The man sustained injuries while the woman died on the spot.
The incident occurred between Korangi Crossing and Qayyumabad, where the woman succumbed to injuries after being crushed under the tanker’s wheels.
Police stated that angry locals gathered at the scene, torched the water tanker, and severely beat the vehicle’s cleaner, leaving him critically injured.
It is worth noting that a welfare organization released traffic accident statistics in Karachi three days ago.
According to rescue services, 301 people have died in various traffic accidents in Karachi over the past four months, with 96 fatalities linked to heavy traffic vehicles.
The deceased include 234 men, 27 women, 32 boys, and 8 girls, while over 4,000 people have been injured, including men, women, and children.
