In an attempt to cover up its military failure in the Pahalgam incident and avoid criticism after placing blame on Pakistan, India has blocked the YouTube channel of former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi.
According to media reports, based on the recommendation of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, a total of 16 Pakistani YouTube channels were banned, including the channels of three former Pakistani cricketers. Shahid Afridi, known for his bold responses to India, faced action from Narendra Modi’s extremist government, which could not tolerate the truth and blocked his YouTube channel to prevent Indian viewers from hearing his reactions.
Earlier, India had also banned the YouTube channels of former captains Rashid Latif, speedster Shoaib Akhtar, and Basit Ali. Recently, commenting on the Pahalgam incident, Shahid Afridi had questioned the Modi government and Indian army’s failure, stating, “Even if a firecracker goes off there, Pakistan is blamed. Despite 800,000 Indian troops deployed in occupied Kashmir, this incident still happened, which means you are incompetent and unable to provide security to the people.”
Following his statement, Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and controversial figure Danish Kaneria attempted to criticize him, but Shahid Afridi stood firm on his stance.
On the other hand, the Indian government claimed that Afridi’s YouTube channel was blocked in the country due to national security concerns.
