Monsoon rains and resulting floods have caused widespread destruction across Pakistan, with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reporting 105 fatalities from various incidents between June 26 and July 13.
Among the deceased are 49 children, 38 men, and 18 women. In the last 24 hours alone, one person died in Khanewal.
The rains have also injured 211 people, including 82 children, 81 men, and 48 women. The country’s infrastructure has suffered severe damage.
According to the NDMA, over 10 kilometers of roads and nine bridges have been affected in different regions. Additionally, 145 houses have been destroyed, while 310 homes sustained partial damage.
Relief efforts are ongoing, but conditions in the affected areas remain critical.
