Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has rejected claims of holding negotiations or meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stating that no contact has taken place between them.
Responding to a statement by the prime minister’s coordinator Ikhtiar Wali regarding negotiations, Barrister Gohar said that there has been no contact with the prime minister over the past ten days or even throughout the entire year. He added that if any contact had occurred or if he had initiated any communication, the public would have been informed.
He said that dialogue is a serious and important matter and should not be discussed irresponsibly, warning that non-serious statements on negotiations could further worsen the situation.
It may be recalled that a claim was made during a television morning show a day earlier that Barrister Gohar had contacted the prime minister three times within ten days to seek negotiations, a claim that the PTI chairman has categorically denied.
