Section 144 has been imposed across Balochistan until January 31 to maintain law and order, address potential security concerns, prevent any untoward incidents, and ensure public safety.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the display of weapons has been banned throughout the province. Restrictions have also been imposed on pillion riding on motorcycles, the use of tinted vehicle windows, the movement of unregistered motorcycles, gatherings of more than four people, rallies, and processions.
The notification further states that the use of mufflers or masks to cover faces in public places has also been prohibited to enable the timely identification of any suspicious activity.
The Home Department has warned that strict legal action will be taken against those found violating the order under the relevant laws, and no leniency will be shown.
All deputy commissioners across the province have been instructed to submit daily reports to the Home Department regarding the enforcement of Section 144, allowing for close monitoring of the situation.
