Karachi: The national airline has announced the launch of flight operations from Lahore to London, marking the resumption of services on this key international route after a gap of six years.
According to the airline’s spokesperson, the first flight, PK-757, will depart from Lahore for London on March 30. All flights operating from Lahore to London will land at Terminal 4 of Heathrow Airport. The spokesperson said that London has been among the national airline’s earliest and most important international destinations, making the restoration of this route a significant development.
The spokesperson added that with the resumption of flights from Lahore, the total number of weekly flights operated by the national airline to the United Kingdom will increase to seven, providing improved travel options for passengers. Prior to the suspension, the airline was operating ten weekly flights from Pakistan to London, and a gradual increase in the number of flights to London is planned in the future.
The spokesperson further stated that the national airline has already announced three weekly flights from Islamabad to London, which will commence on March 29. These steps are aimed at enhancing connectivity for passengers traveling to the United Kingdom and strengthening the airline’s international network.
