Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Iran signed a trade and investment agreement. Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hussein Amir Abdul Hayan, arrived at the Foreign Ministry, where he was welcomed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hussein Amir Abdul Hayan arrived at the Foreign Ministry, where he was warmly welcomed by Pakistani Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Both foreign ministers also planted a tree at the Foreign Ministry.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdul Hayan also signed documents related to trade and investment agreements.
Later, during a joint press conference at the Foreign Ministry with his Iranian counterpart, Bilawal Bhutto stated that Pakistan shares close and brotherly historical relations with Iran.
The Foreign Minister said that Pakistan can benefit from Iran’s electricity to establish a hospital in Gwadar, as Iran has played a crucial role in providing electricity to Gwadar. Pakistan desires to further expand mutual relations with Iran.
He mentioned that they have committed to free trade with Iran and aim to strengthen cooperation in various sectors. However, they need to broaden the scope of economic collaboration.
At this occasion, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated that they strongly condemn the tragic incident in Balochistan and extend condolences to the Pakistani people and government.
