Tehran: Major General Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian military, has announced that Iran is considering various methods for avenging the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh. He emphasized that Israel will have to pay the price for its actions and that revenge will be exacted.
General Bagheri stated that several measures should be taken, and Israel would have to regret its actions. He assured that vengeance for Ismail Haniyeh’s death will be pursued.
According to reports from American media, Ayatollah Khamenei ordered a direct attack on Israel immediately after Haniyeh’s martyrdom during an emergency meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
It is worth noting that Ismail Haniyeh, a Hamas leader, was killed in an Israeli attack on July 31 in Tehran, where he was present for the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President Mahmoud Bejikian.
Since the onset of Israeli aggression in Gaza on October 7, 2023, many members of Haniyeh’s family, including his sister, son, and grandchildren, have also been killed.
