Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Asim Munir has arrived in Iran on an official visit, where he will hold meetings with Iranian military and defense leadership.
According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, it has been stated that Army Chief General Asim Munir has arrived in Iran for a two-day official visit. During his visit, he will meet with Iranian military and defense leadership.
ISPR stated that discussions will focus on mutual matters, defense cooperation, and security collaboration.
Yesterday, Army Chief General Asim Munir visited the Quetta Garrison, where he paid tribute to the martyrs and visited the injured.
On this occasion, the Army Chief expressed concern over the involvement of Afghan citizens in terrorist incidents in Pakistan and stated that safe havens of proscribed TTP are present in Afghanistan.
He stated that the Afghan transit government should implement the Doha agreement and it is expected that the Afghan government will not allow its territory to be used against any country.
