Sugar prices in Lahore have increased by an additional 10 rupees, reaching 150 rupees per kilogram. According to market dealers, the wholesale price of sugar has surged from 140 to 150 rupees per kilogram, leading to increased activity in the market.
The wholesale price of a 100-kilogram bag of sugar has reached 14,000 rupees, resulting in retail rates of 142 rupees per kilogram.
Over the past two weeks, there has been an increase of 25 to 30 rupees per kilogram in sugar prices. Market sources suggest that further price hikes may be expected in the coming days.
