Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb says that the current government’s performance in 15 months is better than PTI’s 4 years, the increase in petrol price is due to the global market.
During a press conference in Islamabad, Maryam Aurangzeb announced that the Prime Minister has made a decision regarding the tenure of the assembly and will step down before the completion of the term.
Maryam Aurangzeb further mentioned that the current government’s 15-month performance surpasses that of PTI’s four-year tenure. She claimed that their government has lifted two crore people above the poverty line and the country is witnessing improvements in all sectors. The federal government provided substantial assistance to all provinces during floods, and every possible step was taken for the welfare of the affected.
The Information Minister stated that the recent increase in petrol prices is due to the rise in global market prices. She emphasized that they are clearing the mess left behind by the PTI, referring to the burden of economic challenges.
Maryam Aurangzeb also accused the PTI Chairman of sabotaging the IMF agreement and claimed that he is still engaged in conspiracies.
Moreover, she added that the journey that was obstructed during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif has now begun, and the projects that were left incomplete have been completed.
It should be noted that the government has raised petrol prices by Rs. 19.95 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs. 272.95 per liter. The price of diesel has also increased by Rs. 19.90, making it Rs. 273.40 per liter. The revised prices will take effect immediately, as reported by the Finance Ministry.
