In the Supreme Court, the petition for canceling the bail of Senior Vice President PML-N Maryam Nawaz and former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah was set for hearing.
A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial will hear Maryam Nawaz’s bail application on August 22. The bench also includes Justice Athar Manullah.
It should be noted that Maryam Nawaz is accused of assets in excess of income in the Shamim Sugar Mills case, in this context a request was filed by NAB to cancel the bail of the League leader.
On the other hand, the application for canceling the bail of former interior minister Rana Sanaullah has also been scheduled for hearing.
A 2-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial will hear the case on August 23. In this regard, the court has issued notices to the parties.
It should be remembered that NAB had filed a request for cancellation of bail against Rana Sanaullah on the charge of assets in excess of income.
In addition, the Supreme Court will hear the plea for the cancellation of bail of Prime Minister’s adviser Ahad Cheema on August 25th. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will also hear the plea of the offshore company for the acquisition of Panama JI IT Valley on August 22nd.
Apart from this, the matter of resignations of Tehreek-e-Insaf members of the National Assembly in 2014 has also been fixed for hearing and the hearing will be held on August 21, 2023 on the application of lawyer Shahid Orkazai in 2014.
