Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi has announced that unemployed players of the national hockey team will be provided jobs, while the PCB will also bear the medical expenses for injured hockey players.
Players of the national hockey team, led by captain Imad Butt, met with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to discuss the team’s performance and related matters.
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the national hockey team for qualifying for the World Cup after eight years and praised the players for their efforts and performance. He also announced that unemployed hockey players would be provided employment opportunities to help improve their financial stability.
The meeting with the national hockey team players and head coach Khawaja Junaid took place at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where discussions were also held regarding the team’s preparations and plans.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that the PCB would arrange medical treatment for injured hockey players and would continue to support hockey players as it has done in the past.
He also extended his best wishes to the Pakistan hockey team for the upcoming World Cup and expressed hope that the team would deliver a strong performance at the international level.
After the meeting, head coach Khawaja Junaid and captain Imad Butt thanked PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi while speaking to the media and said that his support had greatly encouraged the players and boosted the team’s morale.
