In the scorching summer season, strawberries available in local markets offer numerous benefits when consumed. Recent research suggests that even a small amount of strawberries can be beneficial for the heart and brain.
Previous studies on strawberries have already proven their effectiveness in reducing obesity and increasing blood volume in the digestive system.
The findings of research on strawberries were presented at the ‘Nutrition 2023’ conference held in the United States.
The American experts conducted research on 35 male and female volunteers who were consuming strawberries.
The volunteers were divided into two groups, with one group instructed to eat fresh strawberries, while the other group was asked to use strawberry powder.
All the participants were directed to consume a specific amount of strawberries for 8 weeks, and their medical tests were also conducted.
After the research, it was found that those who ate fresh strawberries experienced improved blood flow and reduced blood pressure, along with an enhancement in memory.
Additionally, the individuals who consumed strawberries had increased levels of antioxidants, which are beneficial for lowering cholesterol and reducing inflammation.
According to the experts, consuming 26 grams of strawberries daily or 8 to 10 strawberries can provide the essential vitamins and minerals required for maintaining good health. This, in turn, promotes better heart and brain health.
Strawberries are rich in vitamin C, along with several other essential elements like vitamin B9, which are vital for maintaining overall health. Therefore, including strawberries in one’s diet can easily fulfill these nutritional requirements.
