Karachi Electric (KE) has once again increased electricity rates, burdening the residents of the city of Quaid with another blow. The electricity rates have been further raised for the people of Karachi.
According to the details, electricity for Karachi has been increased by 4 rupees 45 paisa per unit after the decision of Nepra, the power division has issued an official notification.
The recent increase in unit price of electricity is due to the first quarter adjustment of the last financial year. Additional charges will be collected from K-Electric customers in October and November.
According to the notification, electricity has been increased from Rs 1.49 to Rs 4.45 per unit for K Electric. Earlier, Nepra had approved to increase the price of electricity for Karachi.
Earlier, Nepra said that for K Electric, it has been approved to increase the price of electricity from Rs 1.49 to Rs 4.45 per unit.
