Senior politician and Senator Faisal Vawda said in a TV interview that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf does not agree to a “minus-one” formula, the situation may lead to the removal of the entire party from the political landscape.
He claimed that PTI’s popularity has already declined and that the party is focused on a power struggle and financial interests rather than the national interest.
According to Vawda, the ongoing tensions are mainly internal disputes among politicians, and the state is no longer willing to tolerate such behavior. “There will be no further tolerance, not even an inch. We have already tolerated enough, but now this will stop,” he said.
He also commented on a newly discussed phrase “Aisi Ki Taisi,” saying that recent statements from Imran Khan’s sisters have exposed the former prime minister’s weakness, suggesting that Khan becomes anxious if he is not allowed to meet visitors.
It is worth mentioning that political leaders and family members have been barred from meeting Imran Khan, and authorities say no prisoner can be allowed to conduct politics from within jail.
Two days ago, the DG ISPR described Imran Khan as “mentally unstable” and said that he has become a threat to national security and that his political relevance is now over.
Meanwhile, PTI held a public rally in Peshawar today where Chief Minister KP Sohaib Afridi announced that he would soon give a call for a march towards D-Chowk.
