He said that both countries should work to maintain peace and stability.
The spokesperson said that we demand Pakistan and Iran to avoid actions that lead to escalation of tension and work together to maintain peace and stability.
They said that we understand that Iran and Pakistan are major Islamic countries and close neighbors of each other and both are our close partners and members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry appealed to Pakistan and Iran to show restraint on this issue so as not to increase tension in the region.
